Race classes and rules for Timberline sled drag races

Vintage Class- 440 and under liquid cooled, unlimited fan cooled or open air design, 1980 and older, or Must have OEM leaf springs. Mods to motor and track are the same as the trail classes. Allowed to have mods such as exhaust, intake, and attachments to the motor. We want the equipment to be OEM to the machine. (e.x. we don't want to see a 1973 sled with a 1999 motor in it.)
60cc Kitty Cat- Must have 60cc OEM engine. Mods to the sled are the same as the trail classes. Allowed to have mods such as exhaust, intake attachments, jetting, clutching, and gearing. All guards must be in place.
120cc Trail- Must have OEM engine. Mods to the sled are the same as the trail classes. Allowed to have mods such as exhaust, jetting, clutching, governor bypass, and gearing. Tethered kill switches are mandatory. All guards must be in place.
120cc Mod- Any 120cc sled with a non OEM engine. (e.x. honda GX 200 or Briggs Animal etc. )Tethered kill switches mandatory. Must have all guards in place.
Jr class- Fan cooled sleds only. (Ages 11yrs-15yrs) (e.x. 340s, 380s, 500s, 580s late 90s and older) Newer 500s will run against each other.
Jr class- Liquid, vintage. (Ages 11ysr-15yrs)
500cc Stock- 500cc and under machines.
600cc Stock- 600cc and under machines.
700cc Stock- 700cc and under machines.
800cc Stock- 800cc and under machines.
900cc Stock- 900cc and under machines.
1000cc Stock- 1000cc and under machines.
1100cc Stock- cat turbo. No boost controllers or stutter.
Stock sleds are allowed clutching and gearing changes. Jetting and EFI controllers allowed. (Stock pipe.) Aftermarket can allowed. Any winning sled is subject to tech inspection at end of race. BE HONEST. Stock sleds can run in any class above them.
500cc Trail- 500cc and under machines. Includes any cc fan cooled or free air sled.
600cc Trail- 600cc and under machines.
700cc Trail- 700cc and under machines.
800cc Trail- 800cc and under machines.
1000cc Trail- 1000cc and under machines.
1100 Trail- cat turbo. Pump gas. boost controllers, stutter, stock impeller.
Trail classes are allowed to have mods such as exhaust, intake, reeds, dome inserts, etc. (Pump gas only.) Any winning sled is subject to tech inspection at end of race. BE HONEST. Trail class sleds can run in any class above them, not in an above stock class. (e.x. 600 trail can run in 700 trail or 600 mod, not in 700 stock.)
600 Mod- Any type 600cc and under motor. Any type of engine mods and aftermarket parts. No power adders.
800cc Mod- Any type 800cc and under motor. Any type of engine mods and aftermarket parts. No power adders.
1000cc Mod- Any type 1000cc and under motor. Any type of engine mods and aftermarket parts. No power adders.

Any mod sled that wants to bump up and run another class must run in the next mod class. (e.x. 600 mod can run in 700 mod or 800 mod, not 700 stock or 700 trail.

Outlaw/Anything Goes Class- Any type motor, any aftermarket parts, any type power adder, all safety rules still apply, all guards and covers must be in place, strongly suggested that high horsepower sleds have increased safety guards in place for the drivers protection. Chest protector required.

Four Strokes will be classed on race day according to size and number of sleds competing.

1. Absolutely no clean outs anywhere. Safety is the number one concern.
2. Tethered kill switch is mandatory except for stock models that came without it.
3. Full face helmets are mandatory
4. All sleds must go through technical and safety inspection before going to the pits.
5. All final decisions will be made by the pit boss or race personnel
6. No horseplay will be tolerated on the return trail. Limit speed to 30mph on the return lane.
7. Any power adder will put you in the open mod class (nitrous, turbo, supercharger, propane, nitro methane)
8. Max 2 class per sled.
9. Pay attention to announcements and when you will be up.
10. One pit member per driver.
11. Must be at least 18 years of age to race.
12. All trail sleds are to be trail ridable.
13. All chain and belt guards must be in place.
14. Any lug height can run in any class, any stud length can run in any class. Trail classes must have trail studs, no chisels.
15. Excessive lightning of sled will put you in the appropriate mod class.
16. Tech has final say in class designation.
17. Sandbagging or if you miss a round in your class due to any reason you will be marked with a loss
18. Any type of chisel, or shovel type stud will bump you to the appropriate class.
