  • Garrett County Snowdrifters Poker Run
    February 13, 2021

Check-in begins at 10:30 am, Brodak's Banquet Hall, 18268 Garrett Hwy, Oakland, MD 21550. We take off close to noon. Trailer parking to the right when you enter.

Join us on Saturday of Valentine's Day weekend for some fun in the snow!  If you've never participated before, the Poker Run name comes from the playing cards you collect at each stop.  We use marked slips of paper instead, and everyone trades in their papers for a playing card hand at the final stop.  Best hand wins a prize!  Registration will begin at 10:30 am.  We will depart and finish at Brodack's Banquet Hall.

If you are trailering your snowmobile to Brodak's, use the right hand side of the loop to access parking.  If you are without a trailer, use the left side like the directional sign says.

Overflow trailer parking is available if needed in the parking lot behind Garrett 8 Cinemas.  Please do not park in the lot next to the church or in front of the cinemas.  Towing will be enforced.  From the lot behind the cinemas you will be able to access the JG’s trail and cross the road to get to Brodak Hall.

A Maryland ORV Registration will be required for this event.  If you don't already have one for your sled, visit the Maryland Compass website to register.

If you plan to ride along the county roads in Garrett County, you'll need a county sticker as well, which will allow you to go up to 2 miles on the shoulder of any county road.  You can cross at 90 degrees without a permit.  The Poker Run course does not require the county permit.

There will be 3 stops on the course besides Brodak's.  Course maps will be made available the day of the ride.  The course may get tweaked up until the day before the ride, so we do not publish the map in advance.  We plan to have paper maps and a Google map link the day of the ride.  There will be a few cove crossings, but nothing through the middle of the lake.  We will let you know alternate routes to the coves if you wish to stay off the lake ice.
